This weekend we at Sinister had the privilege of participating in Subkult, Vänersborg's annual synth/punk festival which offered an electric atmosphere and a fantastic musical experience. The event not only offered a line-up of top bands and DJs, but also free flyers, hoodies and t-shirts thanks to the gang at Sinister. Let us tell you about the adventure at Subkult and why it was a party we won't soon forget.
Exciting Bands and DJs
Subkult attracted some of the most exciting synth bands and DJ talent from all over. From hypnotic synthpop melodies to pulsating EBM rhythms, the festival offered a wide variety of electronic music. The band "KSMB" delivered an energetic and engaging live performance. They had the audience dancing and singing along to their iconic songs. In addition to the bands, DJs such as "Die Arkitekt" from Greece and "Viktor Hemgren & Kim Stålnacke" played, which raised the mood on the dance floor to unimagined heights.
Nice Company and Community
One of the most memorable parts of Subkult was the great atmosphere and community. The festival attracted people from different backgrounds and ages who shared the same passion for synth music. I had the opportunity to meet and talk to people who had traveled from different parts of the country to attend the festival. We shared our favorite songs and musical discoveries and formed strong bonds over our shared love of this unique genre.
Team Sinister – Dark art unleashed
A big thank you to all the help from "Team Sinister" for their commitment during the festival. We handed out flyers with discount codes for our dark posters, hoodies and t-shirts for free to the festival goers, which really created an extra dimension of party atmosphere and community. Seeing people proudly wearing their new clothes made us feel part of something bigger and gave the festival a sense of togetherness.
Subkult Synth Festival in Vänersborg was truly an incredible experience. With its impressive lineup of bands and DJs, the amazing atmosphere and the generosity shown by Team Sinister, it was a party we won't soon forget.
